NEW PROJECT JUST GYM WITH ATHLETES

We have launched a new project to support young athletes on the road to their dream goal! As part of the initiative Just GYM with athletes we have established partnerships with promising athletes representing a variety of often unobvious sports.

Why are we doing this? Because we want to promote physical activity nationwide and inspire young people to action. We know that sport not only strengthens the body, but also teaches perseverance, discipline and self-confidence. The stories of our athletes show that the road to success can sometimes be difficult, but every moment of effort brings satisfaction and growth.

Meet the athletes who have decided to become part of the Just GYM community and, together with us, motivate others to move!

OLA PIOTROWSKA

Ola is a promising sprinter who proves with her determination that no obstacle can stop her. Her adventure with sport began with school athletics competitions, where she won the złoto for 60m in the National Final of Athletics Thursdays.

After her first successes, she joined the sports club Wda Świecie, where she started to train sprinting professionally. She is now 6-time Polish Champion at distances of 60, 100 and 200 metres and has represented Poland internationally for four years. This year she has been appointed to the 4×100 metres relay at World Championships.

Ola shows that passion and hard work always pay off!

DAMIAN OPUSZEWICZ

Damian started out as a footballer and is now a talented sprinter. Sport has accompanied him since childhood - his passion for football was infected by his dad. For nine years he defended in a local team, until in 2019 he decided to try something new. He ended up training with Maciek Ratajczak at the AZS AWFiS Gdańsk club and discovered his talent for sprinting.

In his own words: „What I like most about sprinting is that I'm the one doing all the work - no one can do it for me.” Damian has already won Polish Championship in the 4×100 metre relay, was fourth in the 100m individual run and represented the country at international competitions.

His story is proof that it is never too late to find your sporting passion.

THE WÓLCZYNSKI SISTERS

Aleksandra and Zuzanna Wólczynski are Polish wrestling champions, and Ola is additionally European and World Championships medallist. Their adventure with sport began thanks to their dad, who coached wrestling in high school and took Ola to a trial training session. Her older sister's successes motivated Zuza to join in the training - and so their sporting journey began together.

The girls train together on the mats of WKS „Grunwald” in Poznań, support and motivate each other every day. Their strength and determination inspire them to action. You can see more about their daily sporting life on their shared Instagram @wolczynskie_.

SEWERYN SOSNA

Seweryn trains a particularly unusual discipline - the bobsleigh. And with great success, because it is World junior vice-champion.

His sporting history began - as with many boys - with football. However, over time he noticed that his greatest strength was his speed. So he started training in sprints, in which he won the provincial championship in the 100 and 200 metres. He got into bobsleigh by chance - he turned up at a stadium where the sport was being trained and decided to give it a try.

He already competed in the European Cup in his first season and shortly afterwards won silver at the World Junior Championships. Seweryn is an example of an athlete who courageously seeks his place and is not afraid of challenges.
